I have an 01 fatboy, i started getting a bad vibration after getting on it hard at a light. it shakes when ideling, still has all its power just send really bad vibration through the whole bike.
check your top mount bolts and bracket under your tank i had the same problam on my evo ,
i've had a bit of a look today and the vibration seems to be coming from the swingarm pivot bolt area.has anyone heard of this happening before.
just had a quick look with a torch around the swingarm pivot bolt ,suspension area. and i reckon i could see a hairline crack around the weld were the lower piece (shocks bolt on) is welded to the upright piece. a couple of rides ago i hit a massive pothole that i did a wheelstand out of ,it was a decent hit and everything seemed ok and didnt think much of it, but i reckon that started the problem.
