Interesting there is another steamer ....... My handle is derived from 3 things...... 1) My sir name is Stanley ( Old Stanley Steamer Car ), 2) I Work with steam in a power station and 3) I was borne in 55 . Any way one of the reasons I kept the BMW is that I have done over 120K on it and will be riding over to the Great Ocean Road in a couple of weeks so as I know that bike well and it it set up well for me, its probably the smart thing to do. I have only ridden the RK about 100 klm to home before I had to go on holiday with the missus. The first thing I will probably change is the windscreen ..... I am 5`6 and the original screen top is right in my eyesight line. I will probably buy a shorter screen and put a "Laminar Lip "on it What da ya recon.

Welcome Steamer.55 - I too bought a 2011 Vivid Black Road King just last month - awesome bike, I'm sure you'll love it just like I do!

               I have ridden about 250klms on the Road King now and see why you like them. It is a little different to what I am used to but am confident I will like the bike after the first 100,000 klms.
