Here we go again. Its Territory Day.

Way back in 1979, 1st July, the Northern Territory broke away from South Australian rule and became self governed.

And guess what, we still celebrate with cracker night. We're about 20 minutes away from all hell breaking loose.

Its the busiest night for the firies, ambos, cops, emergency wards and RSPCA.

I've got 3 dogs shadowing me right now, panting profusely with eyes the size of golf balls. There are some wankers out there that just can't wait until 7.

    Till the smoke clears.................

I was in the Alice this time last year, random explosions all over town all night. Gotta love the smell of Blackpowder in the morning.
So did you manage to score anything good? Or just the ones the big blue gang say you're allowed to have?

Cracker night.... brings back memories as i used to love what could be done (damage that is) with some thripenny bungers

What I now miss is rocket nights up in Laos.... people make home made rockets and let them off.... now that is my kind of fun  always make sure my travel insurance is paid up and have SOS coverage

We used to make our own bombs up ourself until riding around on the trail bikes we came across a mine and a box of dynamite and detonaters, which we borrowed. These made our home made one look like toys. Fireworks oh shit yer. We rode around with it in our back packs on the motorbikes every where, lucky we are still here.
