Considering the repairs will run about 7k and the bike is worth 23k, that gives you a net value of 16k.  Then deduct a reasonable premium for the buyer to go through the time and hassle and risk or getting it repaired.  I personally wouldn't pay more than 12,000.

It depends how accurate the quote for repairs is, if they can gaurantee of staying within the range quoted you could possibly get 1 or 2k more.

I have to agree with KC, $12k is about what I would pay.
Maybe a little bit more if it's not on Vicroads register as damaged.
I think $20k is closer to the current 2nd hand price as on Bikesales.
