Hi all.
Hope this makes sence..... I have been given a couple of 16x3 2001 Fatboy rims that I wish to put on my 2001 Heritage. But, first I would like to make them look like the new 2011 Chrome fat boy wheels. Has anyone done this before??? or am I blowing dust out my rear.
I'm thinking of machining down the area of the rim that has the small counter sunk holes and facing the rough casting before drilling larger holes around the area where the previous counter sunk holes where (does this make sence). Is the rim thick enough to handle this, or will it be too thin after machining down the counter sunk flang.
Thanks Dan and Boloffski for the response. Yes, that is the type of thing I am looking for. The only problem with those is that it is an exchange of the same tyre of wheel with the profile cuts already done. I am looking at getting the these disc wheels profile cut and then chromed. the compony on ebay only chrome the original custum wheels of which I do not have. They do look good don't they??
