There is one Postie in our little town that gets around the road as fast as he can, Iv'e got no probs with it, until yesterday!! coming into a one lane - in a 60 zone in the rain - cars everywhere - he came up on my right, outside the white line, then just came in on me like i was not there, I was in my 4wd and had to get out of his way - fast!!
I am not whinging about him to much - there like the delivery vans and need to get there parcells delivered, I just don't want to be the one who knocks him off
Unfortunately a hell of a lot of businesses set unrealistic targets for the workers which causes people to stress & take risks that they normally wouldn't.
I considered tendering for a 'Postie run' back when I lived in the 'burbs a few years back; that's the independant Posties and not Australia Post. The Area Manager fella couldn't tell me the winning rate but he hinted at it; from memory it was about half the average wage at the time! Screw that!!
Anyhoos, the run was in my burb and I could tell when the new bloke took over - on several occasions I heard his Honda 90 riding along my footpath as late as 10pm at night, the poor prick! Predictably he lasted only a few weeks...
