How to fit risers on CVO Fatboy and keep tacho

I ordered 4" risers but once they were fitted by the dealer they said they couldn't fit the tacho so they left it off. The only other option offered was a very crappy look angle bracket to hold the tacho on. I made myself unpopular by asking them to put it back the way it was. (Actually they were pretty good about it and didn't charge anything). Their suggestion is a set of customised bars but they are expensive, especially with internal wiring needed, and I like the existing ones which are similar to wide beach bars but just a bit low for me. I'm just slouching a bit so even an extra inch would do at a pinch.

I did get them to tilt the bars up a bit but that has pushed them a bit further away and made them worse.

Any ideas for lifting the bars a bit that looks good but don't cost a fortune?

    Just an Idea...

fit some spacers and longer bolts under you standard risers.

I made up some 3" long stainless steel ones once that worked a treat.

Same OD as the bottom of your risers, 1/2" clearance hole up the guts and whatever length you want.

Go to specalized bolt shop for the Grade 8 bolts you need.

One piece risers that match your top clamp would be better though.

Have a look at the ZODIAC risers part # Z241144..4.5"PULL BACK in CHROME

                                                                       #Z241587...   4.5"Pullback in BLACK

                                                             or      #Z241164...   4.5" Straight chrome

      http://www.zodiac.nl/en/catalog/bbook38/14.pdf          section 14 page 025...

Your Tac should mount the same as now...  just extend the wires from under the tank.

Taffy ... difficult to find a riser to fit and keep the CVO bars. Extentions and longer Grade 8 bolts are the go.

I've lifted mine 1/2" to gain clearance because of my 3" tank lift.

Yr right Taffy, straight risers will bring the bars back a bit as well as up but curved risers will bring them back more of course
