the transition period is now complete id say - when all the ratings changed - ie , 95 used to be regular and 98 was premium , then 95 was premium cause they bought in the pox ridden 91 + ethanol so they could charge more for the 95 and evem more for the 98. now were so used to being fucked in the ass over high fuel prices and shit quality , why wouldnt they drop 95 out and make us choose 98 over pox ridden ethanol blends. dont even get me started on fucken diesel - their all fukn C_ _ TS -

did u really think BP was going to cop the bill over their oil spill ?

ok guys i work in this industry, and im only talking N.S.W. here. In 2005 the then N.S.W. Government decided that there would be no sales of leaded fuel for any purpose other than aircraft and that by July 2011 unleaded would be replaced by E10. Well all leaded fuel sales have now been stopped , much to the screams of the racing car guys who now use Methanol or other addatives to increase the octane content. Problem is most of these addatives cause damege to the motors after a short time, and if your running a high performance motor this can be very costly. As january came around this year, the N.S.W. Gov had to do a quick backstep because they started to realise that to produce the same amount of E10 as there are people now using unleaded, they would have to plant crops across four states just to create enough fuel for about three months of running. The cost of actually refining and producing the E10 fuel is about 4 times the cost of unleaded fuel. If they did go ahead with the full on E10, and no unleaded, then the demand to E10 would far outstrip the availability and then force the price way above the cost of 98. Car Manufacturers have also warned the Gov that a lot of the cars they are producing will not run on E10, And if they are forced to will stop building and importing cars to Australia. As far as the fuel drying up in QLD is more like shell fighting with coles and Caltex fighting with Woolies. Both companies are trying to get out of contracts with the Grogery Chains as tehCol/Wool are dictating the price they buy fuel from the rifineries. Hope this gives you sometime to ponder.

In the ACT they have stopped the sale of all standard unleaded. Now all you have is 95 98 and E10.

I will be buggered if I will put E10 in my baby!

Poor old Aus we are behind the times...Im in a so called 'third world' asian country for moment on business and they have 100 octane here. We are mushrooms in Oz fed shit by bisiness and politicians and kept in the dark.
