Hey fella's
Just wanted to know if anyone has built a Mobster bobber from SMW ? I'm interested in buying one and wanted to know what changes if any had to be made for it to meet the australian ADR's.
I have only just decided i want to build one as a project, something to play around with on me weekends off.
So if anyone has any advice or can pass on any info about this kit, i would appreciate it.
cheers
Joel
Ok Of the Shelf they dont meet ADR, Wrong Lights, Brake Lines, Exhaust, Speedo, Rear Fender is to short, No Front Fender, Handle Bars are to high. They are Built on a DNA Frame that is made in China. You also have Warrany Isues if the Engine fales. I had a guy come in to my store last year asking me to Air a Engine back to them for Warranty. SMW repaired the Engine under Warranty but It cost him $4000.00 IN FREIGHT for the round trip I sell every thing to build a bike like that, We are the Aust Agent for Kraft Tech Frames . Kraft Tech Frame and is one of the Best Frames that you can buy. They are made in the USA and a fully Robotic TIG Welded. Kraft Tech Supply Frames for Pro One Sucker Punch Sally’s, OCC ,Titan and Hellbound Steel and are supplied with MSO Check out Sucker Punch Sallys Web Site for the style of that we do http://www.suckerpunchsallys.com/ The Complete bike Kit from us with the Corect ADR Items is around the $17.000 mark, with warranty And this is a WARNING to anyone that buys a Kit Bike from the US, I get 1 or 2 guys in a month that have bought Kit bikes from the US . They all have problems with Parts that are completey Wrong, Stuff that will not Fit, or Missing Parts. after months of being mucked around by the US Suplier thay come to me to fix there problems. and in the long run it cost them more than if they bought it from anyone in Aust If you need more info call me 03 8405 9212 Ian VPW
Thanks for the heads up Walka, glad i asked the question. Have you guys got a website i can check out ? Do you guys sell whole kits or just the parts to make the bike ?
All the Parts for you to put together, To register the Completed Bike in any state it would have to be Engineered as they are classified as a ICV Individually Constructed Vehicle
I can help you there as well as I work with most of the Engineers in each State. If you on a buget that ok I have lots on guys building Bikes at home as they can afford to buy the stuff they need. so you dont have to buy it all at once, or for that matter you dont have to buy it all from me
The Web Site is vpw.com.au,,, The is a link on this site
