ok so i have just lowered my iron from the standard 13 inch shocks to 11 inch progressive suspension. this might sound weird but i have vance and hines shorts shots on it and after putting the 11 inch shocks on my exhaust is louder! am i going crazy? or is there a reason for this.. maybe sound bouncing of the road or maybe i have rocks in my head.. i dunno.

feel free to give me shit or maybe a reason for this

Well if you did nothing with the front end then maybe the pipes are facing slightly more towards the ground making the sound louder?

Be the slap back midrange for sure. Should be more throaty when you ring it too.

Same as hearing the ocean in a sea shell, thats distorted slap back of environmental noise amplified. Cupping hands to yell ect

Cant wait to do the same.

Its just like when you ride past a concrete centre divider on the road and the exhaust gets louder due to reverberations.

Have you had many issues with clearance when riding? Is it possible to take a pillion with 11" or will it scrub on every bump?

Depends on how stiff the springs are, but 11-inches isn't too low. I'm at 10-inches and it doesn't scrub unless I put the missus on the back and then only on bigger bumps. I have air shocks of a touring model.

i have never had an issue with scrubbing, 11 inch is just fine. just make sure u have it on the right setting for ur weight and it will be ok. with a pillion i havnt tried it yet but i have a feeling there will be no problem, if there is just tighten the setting a couple of notches and it should be sweet
