Well you have a complete novice here.

I have inherited an 05 Fatboy due to my brothers sudden death last July. He had always wanted a Harley and finally bit the bullet a couple of years back. He loved his ride second to his son and his missus came third. I was never into riding but got the bug after seeing Steve go off with his mates. I decided to join them but had to get my license first so took some lessons in preperation for sitting my test. My ride with Steve never eventuated as he passed away before I had the chance.

In September last year it happened and the following weekend our mate Graham picked me up and gave me a lift out to Steves place where his bike was.

I was nervous as hell as the only Harley I had ever been on was back in the 90's and around a mates paddock.

That first ride got me; I was infected. It was also full of guilt, I was riding and loving something that was not mine, it was by best mates. I would swap it back in the blink of an eye. That ride had some sad moments but it felt as though part of him was there. Now every ride has a solemn note to it but I feel he'd want it on the road rather than sitting in a shed gathering dust. I now ride when I can with whoever I can.

Thats why I'm here, albeit for a reason I would rather not have; no offence.

Ruddle, your brother is smiling down on you watching and keeping you safe man. Enjoy the gift, and think of the good times you had!!

Jim, I spent some time in Cape Cod as a young man. Working at an Italian restaurant, partying with the locals, and generally having a blast. Got to meet the Celtics. Kevin McHale, Bill Walton, Larry Bird. Great part of the world I must say, very friendly natives..
