Hmmm , i would get prices on replacing all the parts, or a quote from a bike shop to fix it , and deduct that from what the bike is worth plus a bit more , and sell it the way it is , just make it worth while for someone to buy it I say

Glad to read things have moved along, Jan. I feared it may sit in the smashed state for years to come! 

But I can't agree us blokes are hard to understand; one thing we understand well is THE LOOK you gals give us - that's the 'don't you dare' look (as noted when your bloke knew damn well to NOT even think about riding the freshly repaired sled...).

Are you happy with the price you're taking or are you selling for whatever you can get? Maybe ya can skin your partner and sell his pelt to make up the difference?!  A hard lesson learned, ay?
