Never seen tyres changed on a Harley using straps and a hoist

lifting up Harley by swing arm  - and  then -  by handlebars

cant be good ............

...................and on the eigth day God created the bike lift !

thats what I thought you would use to change tyres over

has anyone seen it done this way ?

I just started a weekend ride through Malaysia, picked up a screw and had a new tube put in the softail by a bike shop in Johore Baru, Malaysia (just across the border from Singapore) in about 2004.

The shop owner used a small hydraulic jack under the right side of the swingarm near the axle and jacked it up so the bike was sitting on the SIDESTAND and the front wheel with the jack, sidestand and front wheel acting as a tripod to hold the RW off the shop floor....
If they hadn't done that it would have been a tow truck ride back to Singers and the end of the weekend, so I found a nearby coffee shop and let them have at it. 45 minutes later I was back on the road.

Just another day to day event of life in S.E. Asia!

i have done it with tie down straps front and back,got abike lift from repco alot better,had alook at that mini lift on you tube i reckon u be struggling if the bikes got a bobtail guard like mine need a bit of height to get the wheel out
