    Email from Zannotti's today.

Lucky we still have Ebay (for now).

We are sorry to say that with the recent policies handed down by HD we will
be winding down our International sales/shipments.
Sometime between now and August 1, 2011 we will no longer be doing
International orders. We will most likely end International orders before
August 1. We are losing some folks. We are pretty sure they will not be
replaced due to the new policy. This means we will not have the folks to
handle both Domestic and International orders. Unfortunately you will have
to find new sources for HD and their licensee's products.

Not a good move for Zanotti, someone else will just take up their International business.  Harley can make as many policies as they like, someone will still have enough business sense to service overseas customers.

I did warn that it might happen, and to keep things a bit more quiet.
KTM Aus' has done the same thing by complaining to HQ after reading all the forum traffic about cheap import parts.

I wonder if our HH friend has been compiling all the quotes people have sent him to match, and forwarded them to HD USA ?
I hope that's not the case.

my point wasnt about if you buy local or statside all I was saying is you cant blame HD for making a Profit. read all the post here we are alway bitching about the stealers and HD.

lifes to short for so much bitching

maybe something else to think about is we have over 4000 people here maybe HD aust wouldnt listen to one person but I am sure they listen to 4000

Might be time to stock up on common stuff like oil filters, spark plugs, gaskets etc.
    Otherwise it's aftermarket for me.
Buggered if i'm going to pay the dealers inflated prices.

Had a guy about 18 months ago kick me out of his shop because I was buying all my parts online. Only went there to buy brake fluid

On a side note, but similar vein, its a big get fucked from me to Gerry Harvey and his retailer mates. Our small business just got informed by our customs broker that due to pressure from Harvey and his mates customs now require the payment receipt to check that the goods really are worth less than $1000. We dont import much and its always small and we have enough bloody paperwork as it is. Harvey Norman screwing small businesses as usual. Previously we were just required to submit the invoice from the supplier. Now I guess we are guilty until we can prove our innocence like most other things in this cuntry....and thats not a typo its becoming a cunt of a place.

Sorry KC only 2 swear words there :)

I just cant justify spending the extra cash on genuine when i can get the same /sometimes better aftermarket part for half the HD price. dont get me wrong - if HD parts vs aftermarket were same price id buy the HD, but for me , supporting my family with housing ,food, power ,water ,etc , has to come before supporting my HD fetish.............best i can do is keep buying from my Aussie aftermarket dealers.

and count me in for the mass ride to stick it up HD headquarters , prob a few mates would tag along too.
