I bought a 19" Harley rim and spokes off ebay,didn't ask what it was off but just assumed it would lace onto a 21" hub...The indy thatss lacing it up just rang and said it won't lace up to the hub and be centred....Anyone heard of this or is there a certain type of 19" that is made to match a 21" rim hub???

 Sparra, I did this mod to my wideglide about 10 years ago. I bought a japanese rim thru Andrew Miller at Narooma and some stainless spokes and had a guy, can't remember name, at Kalaru to lace it up for me. I don't remember there being any problems!

What is the exact problem your guy is having?

Thanks for the reply Burto...He said when he gets it centred the spokes on one side of the wheel have a gap between them where they cross over and the other side the spokes are bending around each other...When he gets the spacing on the spokes where they cross over the same,the rim is not in the centreline with the hub...I have just contacted the fella I got the rim off and he said he thinks it's a shovel rim off a twin disc front end...I would have thought a 40 spoke rim would be the same all the way through but apparentley there is a difference...
