have been reading a few of your posts n it seems to me you have a bit of experiance with bikes so........... i have an 08 883c sportster it idles high after about an hours riding then slowly drops back it seems i can turn it off then restart it then seems ok go down the road a bit come to a stop n it idles high again the ck engine light comes on for a few seconds every now an again when the bike is idleing high was told there was no codes in computer for high idle only the blinkers left a code.(has been to dealers for this problem).another problem im having is the coughing n farting on rougth roads was out on some back roads today n it was farting n surging on the rougth stuff i thought it may have been my riding but i think its the bike. any help would be great im not all that happy with the reasons my dealer gave me. the bike is stock except for a set of se2 slip ons i fitted myself

 

 

thanks for that .just sarting to look into putting a thunder max or something eles on it .the bike is still under warranty n not sure if i should play with it to much at the moment.i understand about diagnosing on the net it gives me somewhere to start thanks for the info jim76
