Just finished talking to several dealers on both sides of this great land of Oz. They are all of the opinion that the March 2011 delivery will be the last for CVOs any one out there heard any different and has anyone any idea of the total number of CVOs coming to Oz. I heard that HD will only be making 300 but is that all models and/or is that just for Oz.

Haven't heard that Ricky but there is no doubt they are focussing on the cheaper minimalist models, which seems a good idea in the current financial climate. The CVO runs have usually been a few thousand of each model, with three or four colour choices so typically they might make say 3,000 though not necessarily 1,000 in each colour. I think mine was a run of about 3,500 and about 580 of these were my blue one. I don't know how many ended up in Australia.

I hope they don't discontinue them but if they do you would want to be grabbing one fast. I sure won't be letting mine go in a hurry.

The "300" number may be all CVO's destined for OZ, not much scuttlebutt out there.

Quote "The Convertible’s rear section has a hardtail look, but hides a horizontally-mounted coilover shock. Approximately 2,400 Softail Convertibles will be built, and they will be available in three colors: Scarlet Red Pearl and Dark Slate Pearl with Metal Grind Graphics, Midnight Sky and Candy Cobalt with Blue Ice Graphics, or Maple Metallic and Roman Gold with Burnished Copper Graphics." End Quote.

19 in total, 7 red, other two divided equally" End Quote.

Thanks Taffy and Rider and Steamer

From what i have been told it is only for this years models no indication that there wont be any for next years models. Spoke to a mate in US he says that the CVOs are selling slowly over there due to their current financial probs.

All 2011 US CVO stock is moving quickly through the system in the US - Given the attarctive price & low volume - they are being snapped up. Oz was allocated 55 Street Glides in total - no more coming - Cant talk though about the other CVO models - 3700 CVO Street Glides in total to be built for 2011.

The only change due to the US economy is dealers not charging more than RRP as has been the case in past years.

My CVO Street Glide was $46K on road

Standard Street Glide $32.5K on Road

I loosely worked out that I've bought an extra $35K in upgrades for $13.5K

    A bargain in my eyes.

     Hey glenpick
I agree nice ride when you consider what we pay for parts and bikes here the CVOs ARE good value to step up to a semi custom bike. Harley are not doing us any favours these are mainly stock bikes using the resources of the Harley warehouse to trick them up. As I mentioned in my last post if we were in the states it is relatively cheap and easy to dress up a standard bike but in Oz just the extra parts I have enquired about are in total about $1100 more than the States after postage and tax. But I have digressed from the original thread of this post and apoligise to those concerned.
