Picked up a front braided line for the bike , tore into the auto store yesterday , asked for dot 5, raced home, installed the new hose, drained, refilled and bled the system then noticed the prick sold me dot 5.1, not dot 5.  Its been in for a couple of days now, so do I have to replace all the seals, etc,  or can I just reflush the system with dot 5.   I am fuckin pissed about this. I'll be having some words with the  c*nt  tomorrow.    Any advice is appreciated. ....beagle.

Thanks for the feedback. It's an 02 with dot 5. Will a drain and flush with metho or isoprop alcohol clean it out enough to refill without dismantling and individually cleaning each bit. I can blow compressed air through the system to dry out the metho prior to refilling.

Compressed air contains residue of oil from the compressor.
This is way worse than dot 5.1 in some cases.
A good rule of brake lines is to never blow them out in that manner.
