What year and model ?

85 to 96 had a recurring starter relay problem.

Have the sane problem if i don't use it for a while[ bike that is ] condensation gets on the starter contacts and have to push it a few times if you have high ks best to take it out and fit new contacts and new drive.If i use every day no problem.Charlie

the contact points on the solonoid pllunger may need a clean. clean battery terminals,tighten

not sure about the tc but if you remove the 3 bolt end cover on the starter (as evo) you will see the plunger and contacts just disconect the battery earth first as there is live power there and you dont want to ark anything out.
