Happy Day .....  PC V just arrived, $330 AUD including postage from JCMotors , had a look and a fiddle loaded up the canned map and ready to install ... can't wait

Before you all give me a gob full 'o shite, yes I did consider the TTS, it ended up a very difficult decision to make, I chose the PC V mainly because of my planned build and access to a very good dyno tuner who prefers Power Commanders, I also have a couple of mates that have them and use the same tuner with great results.

I do like the TTS and will still recommend them to anyone who asks for an opinion, will see how things go and if I'm not happy will swap over.

Onya Robo, what you went through was my biggest concern, it seems some people get lucky with canned maps and sometimes a dyno and thats all they need, yet some have issues with exactly the same setup, will see how it go's, have also been looking at the new TVision which seems to allow on ride self tune which may help ????? will wait and see about them.

I am picking I will probably need a dyno straight up as I have modified my SE mufflers for a better note and bit more flow.

Might need to scoot up your way for a beer or two sometime soon if ya keen, looking for a good ride if I can get a break in the weather when I'm not busy, by a "good ride" I don't mean ya goats either.

both have their advantages and dissadvantages... I had a PCIII with V&H Short Shots and now have TTS with V&H 2-1 Pro Pipe Hi-Output. The PCIII was tuned on Pato's dyno in Bunbury and he did a good job. The TTS was programed by Scotty and whilst I am 'satisfied' with his work and the ride, I did a dyno run and the current config is down on power/torq over the setup with PCIII.

Going to do another dyno run in Victor Harbour in March to see what happens on another machine....

Big difference I found between PCIII setup and TTS is fuel use.... TTS is more economical, well on my current settings anyway.

Well that was easy .... all fitted up back together and running in about 15 minutes.

Now off for a test drive .... that is if I can get out of my mud pit of a driveway?

Well after a quick scoot am pretty happy, noticed an increase in response with a bit more pull and seems to run a bit smoother and cooler, the popping has completely disappeared

I am thinking I got pretty lucky to get such a good result from a canned map without even putting it on the dyno yet, probably won't dyno now until I've done the cam's .... or complete build ?

Hey Robo, just a thought ... what fuel were you using when you had the PCV fitted? I only use 98 and was wondering if thats getting bikes running better on the Yank canned maps - USA 91 octane is closer to our 96 (which is now actually only 95).

HI I just had a PCv installed last week. the bike is running like shit, took it back to the dearlers they tried different settings and still cant seem to get it running well. The bike is 2010 streetbob V&H longshots, SE high flow air filter. Have to take it back this week so they can tune it better. Looks like i will have to get a dyno to get it running right. I had a SERT on the road king and had some problems with it which is why I went with the PCv, as there is a dyno not far from home. Dont mean to sound like a dumb shit but what is the difference between a TTS and PCv?

took the bike back to the dealers yesterday, they tried different settings but still not running well. Today the f**king wont even start. starting think I wasted my money on a lemon. Has anyone else had major problems with PCv?

Mate I have no idea on how to PM people. I will have to admitt to my kids that I dont know everything and get one of them to show me. Any way the dealers rang me, the bike is running well. Turns out, that when they fitted the PCv there is a small rubber seal in the large connector that had not seated properly and when they washed my bike for me a small amount of water about 2mls got into it. So when the bike was running the water would move about f**king up the signal, hence the bike ran like shit. Picked the bike up today and everything seems OK, even got caught in a heavy down pour on the way home and no problems. Less popping on decel and it even sounds like it has a better note. I will eventually get it dynoed one day.
