Manifold Support

    G'day,

I'm having problems keeping this manifold solid even with loctite on the bolts.

Does anyone have a photo of what the bottom mount is supposed to look like?

Searched the web, contacted Rivera,no luck anywhere.Supposedly a 2 piece item that connects to the lifter blocks.

Apparently the top mount that I don't have either incorporates the breathers, but I've made my own set up anyway.

At the moment I have a couple of 3mm spacer plates(still not enough) between the manifold & heads to take up the gap but will machine up some spigots & weld them onto the manifold once I have this properly supported.

    Any help appreciated thanks.

    Thanks Crasher,

It's part number is 1041-0011 twin 42 HSR mikuni on dual runner manifold.

Unfortunately all they show is what I have.

The installation download mentions the upper & lower supports but dosn't show them.

Of course you know it will probably work just a good if you toss the manifold and fit just one carb' , but hey it looks good !.

Yeah I did the 1000k run in with a single carb (modified backing plate) but I really like the look of this setup.

I've got twin AFR meters to install when I build the new pipes for this to individually tune both carbs for stoich.

Just got to get the bugger to stay in position.

I'll be making the brackets to suit anyway of my own design, just wondering what the originals look like

Ok I finally got around to making a bracket using the head breather bolts to support it.

    Feels pretty solid.

Spent today making up the housing for the AFR meter using an old indicator & bolting it roughly in position.

Powdercoat it tomorrow and start tuning the carbs.
