I have had a Supertrapp 2-1 on my bike for years now, which I absolutely love, and moreso now! Since I got the Supertrtapp about 6 or 7 years ago, it has always had a partially open end cap with 6 discs and has always run great, but just recently after reading a few supertrapp threads on some yank forums I thought I would try a closed endcap and some more discs, so I went and bought the bits and installed them yesterday, I took it for a ride and all I can say is WOW!! the difference is phenomenal. I now have a closed end cap and 22 discs and it is like a new bike! Wont be able to stay off it now, riding it is a whole lot more fun again!
And you know the really good thing? If there is a cop car around or something all I have to do is ride nice and easy and it is as quiet as a church mouse, but when I really open it up it comes to life and has a very nice crack to it, so it has the best of both worlds now!
The pipes are actually a cheaper Aussie made Supertrapp imitation (outercycle in Melbourne) the original Aussie made baffle accidentally got squashed (dont ask!) a few years back but the pipes and muffler shell were still in great cond., so I bought Supertrapp guts and they fit straight in, because the pipes were made to take supertapp parts like baffles and discs etc. But I must say they were just about identical anyway, and there was no difference in performance whatsoever between the original baffle and the Supertrapp one.
I didnt get a piccy today 91, I got called in to work this afternoon and it was dark when I got home. Will try to get one as soon as possible.
Heres the pics of the supertrapp I promised you 91FXR. I took them today, it was very bright and glary, but you can still see most of what ya need to see.
