Just looking through all the Softy pictures there is a lot of different models and styles....Are all these based around the same frame and is the ride quality on all the differnt models basically the same straight from the factory...Like is a Fatty the same to ride as a FXST as in suspension and such...Just thinking if they are basically the same a man could invest in a few sets of tins and maybe a couple of front ends and in theory have have a new bike every couple of months...

Just thinking out loud so don't shoot me down in flames...

    Cheers...Sparra

No, they are not all the same....

The Heritage and the Deluxe have the older thinner rear rims and tyres where as the FXST, Fatboy etc have the bigger fatter rear tyres (which plays some role in handling).

The Deluxe and the Fatboy low also have "low profile" rear shocks with less suspension travel and result in a reduced ride comfort / quality (I know as I ride a Deluxe).

    Cheers, berms.
