They rave about them on US sites, are they available locally? I'd imagine freight from US would hurt.
The only thing that I didn't like was the mounting system (leather/velcro straps)
So I used a velcro strap (around the swing arm) on the bottom rear, on the top rear I used the leather strap around the down member (tube) of the frame and on the front I made a angled bracket which is fixed between the pillion peg mount and the frame and is attached (bolted) to the back of the bag with an aluminium backing plate inside the bag.
I've done over 20k since I've fitted it on the bike with about 3kg of tools, a puncture repair and spare gloves in it and it's as rock solid as the day I fitted it.
I reckon their good value!!
I gotst one too. Like Damon says, very good quality, small (enough room for a jacket, goggles and a 9mm) and fills an ugly void.
Not trying to take away from licks, but if you're a bit low on the spondoolies, La Rosa in the states also make em. They look similar but about $20 cheaper.
Just ordered 1 today.
They say they are very busy and the wait is about 2 weeks for shipping.
Mine turned up this morning.
Ordered on the 18th Jan and got it 1st Feb.
The quality looks very good, now time to fit it
could you fit a leather jacket in it or is it too small?
ok. cause i like them but that is all id use it for... thanks
Hey Scouser,
Love the 48...you've done a brilliant job.
Do you think the Licks is worth the money? and any chance of some estimated dimension?
Cheers,
Clem
