HEY

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT'S INVLOVED IN RELOCATING THE SPEEDO ON THE IRON 883 FROM THE HANDLE BARS TO THE SIDE OF THE BIKE?

CAN THIS BE DONE DYI OR DOES IT NEED A TECH?

That's exactly what i have been looking for, I have inverted side mirrors, so i will need t see whether i need to move the mirror on the left to make sure the speedo is cler of the inverted mirror.

hello there, i have done this exact relocation on a 1200xl c sporty 2010 when i added T Bars. The above link by "taffy" is the exact part needed, its perefect for the job and you stil keep your origanal Harley gauge cup, so you keep your fuel light, start light etc.. the Blinkers, ntrl, h beam and oil light are now led's and if you can use a crimp tool and solder you will be fine. the back plate will have to be drilled to suit your button position for your trip meter. but remember the lower you mount it the eaiser it becomes to see under your bars. you need to have it twisted fwds to allow your hangers to rest left hand down when on the kick stand so the gauge wont hit your tank......  GOOOOOD Luck!!!! but you wont need much.

Thanks for the info, i have been checking out the link that Taffy sent through and there is a unit there in the USA that i will get sent over and start the process. I have 4" risers and straight drag bar, so i am hoping the inverted mirrors will be okay once i have relocated the gauge. Did you purchase from overseas or from here in Australia? either way, with the way the USD and AUD are pretty close in value at the moment, really doesnt matter where it comes from.
