Yup.. used them and good pricing - no complaints. Also know heaps of guys who have used them for exhausts and PCIII's for ricers... been good pricing and service :)

OK thanks, will look at placing an order. I spoke to the dealers about having black pipes fitted from new, once I'd picked myself up of the floor I knew I'd be going at it on my own.

yeah i got my big radius pipes from robscycles!! no worries, they arrive in one to weeks,i got them through e bay though were he is a seller!! with e bay you can check the sellers reputation, and pay safely thru paypal, i have bought all my parts, seat, carb, pipe, breaklines, calipers, cylinders, derby cover, bike boots, manuals etc,no problems with any of them, even with exchange rate and feight you can save hundreds of dollars...its dangerous though, can become addictive!! haha

I'd be more than happy to spend my $$$$$ here in Sydney if I could get the work done locally, but my gut tells me I'd get ripped off, not because of unscrupulous workshops, but as they themselves need to make a decent living so have to charge more for the parts.
Vicious circle it is, like it I don't. ( done in my best Yoda voice )

yes your right Rogue, I should clarify what I meant, I have previously, when buying parts, thought I had not been given the best price for the item as I was not having it fitted / installed by the same company.

    Get my drift.

Toxic has a point. I have been quoted varying prices on fitting my pipes depending on where I bought the parts from. Excessive fitting can negate the saving on the part. I found this was the case on my pipes & chose to just get a reasonable price from the stealer & save myself the grief of ordering O.S and support Aus business. If you work with your dealer and speak openly about what you can get and what it costs, they can be a little flexible....sometimes

Between 2 reasonable people,...there is always a reasonable outcome!

yeah but when your local shop wants 2 grand+  for a set of forward controls that you know you can get for around 450$ you gotta ask yourself what the fuck is goin on

www.zanottimotors.com - discount HD dealership in Pennsylvania USA. Have had over USD $6,000 in parts shipped since November 2006 in doing up my Deuce and then helping mates out doing up there bikes. Never had a single problem with a shipment or a part failing. Can't understand why people pay a 100% mark up at the stealers here when the stealers workshops will happily install the parts for you. Shipping normally takes a week, which also beats the 6-8 weeks shipping time at the Oz dealers if they don't have a part in stock.

The only parts i sourced in Oz were chromed rims through Cassons in NSW (urgh!) just to be able to return them if there were any chrome issues.

Well the parts should be in transit, ordered the black short shots, fuel pak to match & Arlen Ness big sucker, will have to sort out the chrome cover, but that's another story.

now all I need is a bike to fit them onto

sticking with the standard baffles to start with, when I read somewhere in here that the difference is only a couple of Db, I figured it will annoy all the neighbors anyway so why bother.
I put the pic of the nightster with the new pipes from the V&H website on the pooter as the wallpaper, when SWMBO saw it she commented that it actually looked good, so things are looking up.

Iknow, I know, I keep telling myself it's only a matter of weeks till I'm back in the saddle again.

I would have to agree that buying some parts from the US can save big dollars. I was quoted $1400 for VH Big radius and $1400 for a Power commander from a shop here. I ordered them from the US, morepowerracing, pipes for around $540 and power commander for about $250 postage from memory was about $110.00 and it all arrived in 8 days. I would buy locally every day of the week if I didn't feel I was being ripped. I know shops are in it for profit and they have to pay import duty and sales tax but just think a mark up of 150% to 400% is a bit rich.

new A/C & the fuel pack turned up today from robs cycle supply, 7 days in transit from the U.S. is not too bad I reckon, the new pipes should be on their way too, so while I hate to sound like a broken record, NOW ALL i NEED IS A DAMN BIKE TO FIT IT ALL TO.
