Hi guys ive done a bit of reading from this subject and it seems i am getting awfully confused {isnt hard } so many options ,I have a 2008 heritage softail and its poping since ive put S & S slip ons to my babe . so i thought i would read this subject to get the best possible fix but it looks as if their is lots of opinions .
I am no mechanic at all just like a tinker and know my way round a car engine.
The main questions i ask is that if an engine isnt idling or running due to the exhaust /air filter / that may have been altered it all leads to right to the fuel system ? You then only need to play around with mixtures on the carb? but being EFI thats a little tricky . So if you got Engine Tuner that connects to the ECU and Injectors and you can adjust both to get the right air fuel mixture and then adjust each cylinder accordingly so they run and breathe evenly to get the best mix then all the problems should be fixed .
Well thats my 2 cents worth and ive added a link to a tuner that will do that so why also spend the large $$ on the TTS etc ???

Dazza, There is much info on this forum with regards to tuners etc, but I can only speak from my own experience... and it goes like this.... Bought VnH Big Radius. Bought Kurry Corsair Heavy Breather Bought TTS Installed VnH Big Radius Installed Kurry Corsair Installed TTS and Loaded one of the provided maps. I have not V-Tuned or anything like that, and 3000kms later - it is still great! Bike runs like a scalded cat, and ZERO popping, on what are normally "poppy" pipes. Fuel economy is great too. About 330 kms out of a tank. After spending nearly $40,000 on my scoot - the lousy $400 on a TTS was a no brainer for me. Just my 0.2
