Hi all, Just got an aftermarket wideglide frontend, pre 99 single left side disk brake setup, 10" centre tubes. Would like to run 21" spoke wheel,my old setup was 19'' cast wheel with huge disc spacers. So would like to know what width hub and spacers people are using, have done some measuring and i could run 6 1/2 " width hub and around 1"-1 1/4" spacers, just a little concerned about spokes catching on brake caliper(does that make sense) and has anyone used aftermarket brack calipers and do they fit better than stock because mine just touch the lower fork tube when bolted up.Sorry bout long post any input would be great.

Thanks dave the frontend had an axle with it and yes the old 19" one is longer, i do have it at mockup stage(with 19" rim centered for guide) but looking at it i will have to run a more narrow hub than i thought to fit the speedo drive,(need a new one now as old one was on tappered shaft) which i think now means running a spacer plate between hub and disc, jap caliper didn't think about that thanks....

hi there shovel you may need to grind the the cailper slightly i had to when i put my aftermarket midwest/ultima forks on as mine was hitting the tube as well in one spot ,if yours have removable mounts take one off and see if it bolts to your caliper first,if that is all good , then grind away just go slow bit at a time ,allow a 2mm extra so it can slide an for heat growth,  go dave
