Howdy,  Has anyone acessed this module without taking back wheel out.  Took bike for test ride today  no more the wiser ,  Gave bike a good warm up . 150yrds down the road in a straight  line bike shuts down.  Would not fire straight back up. waited for 5 mins started back up . Rode for and  1hr straight  with bumps in road , nothing i do can make it do it , Stopped  for a 1 hr  &1/2  same thing agian straight line  200mt  down the road  bike shuts down. Rode back home  1hr  did not  miss a beat.  So far  I have  flushed fuel  out of tank . put oringinal leads back on,  pulled right hand throtle  apart . no bare wires,  Borrowed  friends coil , In the last thread what  was ment  by  checking the handlebar stop rocker ????   Little over it now

Thanks   Hilly just received a quote back from M & M Cycles  TSM  p/n is now a     d  instead of   c   68921-01D   spark plugs leads p/n spot on 31907-08    M & M always come in at  good price  TSM   was  $ 90    As  I have no way  of checking this part buy the time I pay someone to check , it will be  just as easy to buy  and try and  diagnose  myself , with the help of this great forum. If it turns out not to be that part it will be good to keep in the shed for insurance,  don't  plan on selling it  , Should of  kept a diary the amount of trouble I had in 2 years,  CHEERS  HILLY

To remove the TSM lift the bike off the ground , or lean the opposite side, if you can, Come in from the left (non muffler) side. There are a couple of bolts holding the plastic guard extension in place. Remove those and the panel drops down. Get on line / find a book and look up the layout of everything. The TSM can also contain the optional alarm, if fitted. If you want a loan of a stock TSM from a 03 carby model softy, without the alarm module installed, along with install pictures, I'll send you one, just pay the postage both ways. The unit just plugs in and out. In all a 30 minute job, once you know what you're doing. You didn't say if the bike was injected or carby. regards, beagle

This might be a dumbass question / statement from me - I'm no mechanic. Have you checked the float bowl level/settings?
I had a similar problem on a previous bike, cruising along and it would just cut out. Wait 5 mins and all was good again. Turns out that at constant throttle setting at highway speed it was draining the float bowl to empty before it had a chance to fill to normal level.
Probably not tech talk but that is the way I understood it.
