i will be surprised if the screw that holds the ignition barrel to the bracket doesnt sheer off. it happened on my custom bracket, so i drilled it out and put a bolt through....that fixed it good.

Does anyone know, can you do the wire tuck without the tank lift? I hate the plastic moulding but dont really want a high tank...

I dont know man, i not a fan of the tank lift on the 48's...

I would keep the low slung look....and keep the tank down...thats how i would do it.

    just my opinion.

My relocation ignition coil/switch on my sporty - just for interest sake.

Coil cover from Debrix, some flat bar, bit of MIG work, some fancy plug leads and it matches (sort of) my S&S teardrop filter on the other side.

No tank lift just some re-routing and taping with hi-temp 3M looming tape - didn't put any cabling between frame backbone and tank - causes insulation chaffing and problems further down the track.

    Cheers

    Chris

I know this was posted a while back, but wondering...how much range did you lose on the tank with the lift? i.e. 30kms less?

Sweet! Thanks! My ass has healed up finally, and I'm almost done with the purchase of a 48!
