I know this has been covered before but has anyone ever taken the speedo apart to clean behind the glass, Is this possible and what is involved   2008 Heritage softail.   It gives me the absolute shits

At my age every FART is treated with suspicion

have to agree with you mate ,  havn't taken mine apart , have a 07 heritage , you would think with the money you spend on a bike like that you could at least expect the bloody speedo to be waterproof , pain in the arse !!!!

I've noticed this on my 2010 Heritage Softail, also notice the speedo face has a 'ripple' in it now.

I was planning on going to the dealer and saying fix it, wonder if I'd be wasting my time after seeing it's an ongoing 'feature'.

Got a 2010 Heritge Softail too with only 5K km and got that condensation ring inside. So bad I can't even read the LED display.
Rand Morgan & Wacker and was told they usually have to wait until there's a residual marking inside the glass before HD will do a claim.

I just noticed a bit of moisture in my speedo last weekend up in the Blue Mountains. Thought I had a smudge on my glasses at first. Its a brand new Street Bob I picked up in November and didn't expect those sort of problems so soon. Everything else is working a treat though.

I wonder if it would be a good enough excuse to get out of a speeding ticket. Un-f@cking likely.
