The wife, gotta love her, got me a service manual for my upcoming birthday

I am not mechanically minded, havent ever done much work before but aim to start doing a lot of things myself now with having the service manual .. first thing on the list will more than likely be the changing of my handlebars ..lots of reading to do .. getting the cables changed, bleeding brakes will be the hardest part I think

the best bit was the local dealer was trying to offload the service manuals, 07 Tourer, at $80, marked down from $120 and the wife then got it for $70 ... so quite a good saving

believe the dealer may have one more service manual going for $80 if anyone is interested

    Hey RKC07
You wont have to bleed the brakes if your only changing the bars :)
You will have to pull the headlight out and all the nacelle apart to get to the handlebar bolts :( it's not hard, just a pain in the ass :) Takes about 20 minutes each way.
I'm sure the 08's have a provision to adjust the bars without pulling anything apart :)
Go to roadkingriders webpage, http://forums.delphiforums.com/Live2Ride/start and search for it,
I'm sure they have a detailed instruction sheet in there somewhere.
    Cheers
    Dave

I bought a Service Maual for my Softail, used it once, was it worth it, not really. I always took my bike to the dealer for a service. Nothing went wrong with the bike apart from the rear lights and indicator wire connectors. I found out where they were located in the maual.
I may offer it for sale in the Softail thread.

    Gonzales

The shop was frasers at Wollongong, but unfortunately they are all gone. I actually got the last "cheap" one for a member on this site and posted it to him.

Thanks HB and RKC for your help. HB, that manual was an Owners Manuals (I got one of them with the bike). I'll keep looking though.
