Gidday dmitch, I had a an '08 Heritage until recently and I love 'em! I reckon they look at their best when stripped of their screen, mini apes, sissy bar and bags - but that's just me. My only mods were old school foot boards, slash cuts (GREAT noise) and flatter bars (Fatboy? not sure):

You sound mad keen - any reason you won't settle for a 2010 or '11 model Heritage to save coin and get out there?

I got my 2010 as a demo a month before the 2011 was released. More than happy with it.

As others have said get one now if you're ready to buy, they don't change too much.

Depends where you place your hand really.

    ......................................

Hey dmitch, the forum is pretty light-on for group hugs... it oozes sarcasm at times but that's just how it is. Some of the crew enjoy 'fishing' and it looks like they got a bite!   No biggie, let's move on...

So back to my question; is there any reason you're so mad keen on the 2012 model? Like the Volkswagen Beetles of years gone by, there's not a great deal of difference year to year - with the exception of going to the six speed box and upping 88 cube to 96 cube - but those leaps are few and very far between.

The 2012 Heritage will differ stuff all from the 2011 model. And yeah, fewer colour options; we get less paint choices compared to the States and that puzzles me. But that's always been the case with Harley colour options - it's a poor move on Harley's behalf and makes no sense to me.

If ya can buy a '10 or '11 model now you'll be out there riding at a fair ol' cost saving. And just maybe the money you save on purchase price could go toward re-painting in a colour of your choice!

    Just wonderin' - just sayin'...

Welcome to the forum my friend.  Good avdvice here amoungst the general riff raff ass kickin replies.

Let the water run under the bridge - in the mean time sip a nice warm cup of HTFU and all will be good.

When I get my ass kicked here on the forum I just wander over to my box of tissues and quietly give my honker a good honk.

Once again, welcome this place in cyberspace where we often get to meet face to face.
