Thanx for the reply, but I have checked the ignition switch, pulled it apart and all good. Also if the ignition switch cut out the ignition , it would also lose the headlight and speedo illumination. I have riden at night when it cuts out and I dont lose either, pluss when it does it I have wiggled the switch and it doesnt restart. I have gone to great lengths to try and diagnose this fault, as for the tsm , it is not related to ignition feed just ignition supply.
I have a new theory, I have replaced the bank angle sensor, but I still believe it has a bearing on the fault, so today I purchased a potentiometre so I can bypass the bank sensor with it and still feed the ignition module so as the engine light doesnt come on.If I ride it and it doesnt faulter, then I know that I'm on the right path with maybe a faulty batch os sensors, as per the one I have just bought.?????????????I'll repost when I try this out.

Thanks Hog, as per the speed sensor wiring to and from ecm etc, there is no link to ignition.

I am flying out tomorrow to go back to work for 2 x weeks, I'll have another crack at it when I get back.

    I'll repost then........................

McGregor . Reminds me of a similar problem. Norton commando, last year gave it a service  , plugs etc. took it for a run, just starting up the mountain where i live it would die/stop as if switched off on  the first gradient. Turn it around roll down the hill it would fire up again, charge back up the hill  same spot it would die again. Like hitting the wall on a hill climb, Checked fuel, petcock, cap etc for vapor locks, loose wiring everything, spent days searching for answer, on flat road fine, going up this hill same spot  dead as a dodo. Even investigated old urban legend about "that spot" where cars roll up hill etc due to magnetics  lol, Turns out it was wrong heat range plug, overheat =switch off, roll down hill cool down=start, At least ten experts swore it was a fuel problem i was chasing

Not highjacking thread, but maybe plugs worth considering

    Cheers

Sorry, Hogbagger,  is this chart suitable for my model?  Mine is a carby 2000 with only an ignition module and sensors, reading thru the list it appears to equate for a later injected model?
