And if you bend one and go to supercheap for a replacement well they don't fit :(

    OK
    - am I missing something here, or has someone got a better solution for these stupid little circlip things.
Have lost two so far having pinged to undetectable parts of a badly lite and rubbish filled shed.

THERE has got to be a better way - or thing.
With all the reverse engineering elsewhere on the scooter is this really the best way of hold footpegs on - surely NOT !!

You can buy chrome nuts & bolts from Harley but they look to ugly and chunky. Circlip is a much cleaner  look

I filed down a standard pair of circlip pliers and when I remove them, I put a peice of masking tape over half of the clip to catch the little fuckers when they fly off. Have also used Blu Tac.

Thanks for the quick feedback guys.
Rocky & Ando - looks like the only viable alternative is chrome bolts and nuts - might give that a go in the long term.
Short term I will buy a pair of pliers and file them down to suit the job at hand.
Cheers to Macka71, steamer and choppersmad for the hints.
Rxes - good tip with the masking tape or blu tac - will try that out after I got some better clips and pliers.
