Just after some ideas on how to fix an issue i have with my 2001 dyna superglide, it keeps blowing a 15amp fuse, when it does this I lose the speedo,indicators and rear tail light. Any ideas to shed some light on this problem would be greatly accepted, It would be great if I could fix this before giving up and taking her into the shop.

Does it do it randomly or when the blinkers are turned on,or the brakes are applied????As above I would be checking under the rear guard first and then check everything that is easy to get to..

Yes I have had them off, got chrome controls for Xmas , so installed them. This problem was happening before i put the new switch blocks on but now is worse, I put a new fuse in and turn ignition on and poof the new fuse is blown, will check the wiring and let yas know how I go , thanks

Well I followed every ones advise and am pleased to say that it was 2 exposed wires, a purple and white one, plus an orange and white that were cut open and bare wires were exposed to short out on the handle bars, it first happened when I would toot the horn, bang short and blown fuse, don't use horn and everything ok, I put the new chrome button switch block things on and made the problem worse after install as I must have exposed more wires. All unknowingly of course. Well I have insulated the wires back up, and bingo, everything is back to how it was,I just went for a quick blat to the city and back just for fun, thanks everyone, the usefulness of this forum has just proved itself again!
