Fuel Mileage

Fitting the fuelpak to my bike doesn't seem to have changed the mileage on my bike to any noticeable degree, the sporty has a typically small tank 12L (3.3gal) and I managed to get about 220km on my last tank and that was mostly city riding.

I have an 05 Fatty and fill up at 300 KM. I actually ran out once, when my fuel gauge was stuffed. It actually conked out right on 350 KM (as I rolled into a servo somewhat embarrased ...phew!). I have EFI, which means no reserve tank. Screamin eagle pipes, air , and chip. I fill the tank up till the fuel is just under the bottom of that metal shelf thing inside the tank inlet.

    Cheers

I've had 350 Ks out of a tank on my 07 Super Glide several times when it was standard. It's got a stage one kit now and the fuel consumption seems much the same. Around town the light comes on anywhere from about 130-140 onwards but it depends how I park it. I filled up the other night at 270 Ks and it took 16.5 liters from a mix of city, suburban and freeway riding.

I used to get at least 320km out of my Roadking, even 2 up when it was standard. Now with the pipes and the Air filter and Vance & Hines Fuel Pak fitted,I get that and more.Due to the fact that I now use less throttle to do the same speed, despite the Fuel Pak adding more fuel. The bike runs a hell of a lot cooler so also get the benefit of better thermal efficiency. It all helps in the long run.

Light usually comes on around the 200km mark then it only takes about 12 litres to fill the tank.
Stock apart from CS slip ons and active exhaust disabled.

    Crasher,

Mine is injected, and as I said above, I ran out totally at 350 km. My fuel light comes on at between 240 / 250 km, but after running out, I now know I will safely get 300 km if I filled the tank. That fill is normally around 17 litres. I don't know if running out can damage injectors or not. Mine was fine. it started right up and has never missed a beat.

    Cheers.

About 170 - 190km and the light comes on. Not sure how much further after that as I fill up then. Mainly around town with the odd hiway run. I have enrichened the AFR quite a bit from stock though.
