When I was looking for my new bike I saw the Lowrider in the showroom and it wasn't black. Also had twin discs and sat a bit lower than most.  Mid mounts didn't impress me but with a buggered back I thought it would be better.(yea right... lasted about 6 months). And the dealer gave me a  good deal with a few freebies and so on.

Saw a Streetbob in a write up in the paper and thought 'that is one sexy old school Harley', that was it I was sold....took one for a test ride at Frasers Homebush, they said they couldn't get one for 3 months, went over to Trivetts old showroom and they had a vivid black one all new and dusty out the back, it saw me looking and and the rest is history.

Always loved the look of the older styled bikes.  Everything on the Fatboy I love, only the wheels needed changing. To me a motorcycle must have spokes, just my opinion.

I bought the Nightster for the wife as I lusted after it

And the Dyna was purchased as I didn't want to wait another 8 months for the Fatbob I ordered. I love the way the Dynas handle.

Lowrider for me back in 06, (first harley) the missus reckoned she couldnt throw her leg over the other bikes in the showroom , liked the mag wheels, tacho, mid mounts and 6spd and the way it handles is superb albeit after a few mods. Will keep the bike and get a tourer in 2010 the jury is still out on what model though.

I was all set to go a nighttrain, or a soft tail if I could get a color coded frame (blue on blue), and then they released the streetbob....... loved the look as it was but also saw it as a good 'blank canvas', the fact it was cheaper than I was going to spend was just a bonus..... I hope nothing new comes out that grabs me like this did 'cause I'm still enjoying it too much and still doing the odd mod to suit me....

When I saw my first softail back in 1986 I just knew I had to have one, 21 years later I now have a 07 FXSTC and I love it.

hey stbobrhino, I had it made by a guy in the US that does them, just gave him the dimensions, had to file the holes in the plate a little but otherwise fits good. $30 all up including shipping.

my first was a Badboy because I always wanted a harley and this one was affordable and I loved thwe look of the springer front end...but then I always wanted a Fatboy so in 05 I traded the Badboy on the Fatboy....loved it, but not the greatest for traveling with luggage, swag, etc. then the finance minister said get what you want, I decided on a Road King Classic, gives me room to carry plenty and with the detachable top box I can travel for weeks if I so choose......yea, I'm happy with it, and love that classic look!
