Rocker I might take a run up to Gosford tomorrow to visit my mother - in which case I'll meet you at Warriors at 930 and do a short section with you. Won't know until tomorrow but make me a probable. If I'm not there see you next time (not that you'll notice me missing the way the numbers are building - excellent!). I'll go the black T Shirt option...under my full bee keepers outfit.
The good thing about a bagger is that you always have ur wet gear with you. Looking forward to it
was there a ride on?
I would like to say what a day.. great ride & company including the hitchiker (spider) & thanks to Rocker for getting it all together.
Look forward to the next one.
yeah was a top ride , even though i left for home early i still racked up 432 ks for the day .....
cant wait to see what dave racked up
Got to say i'm better with a tour guide to lead me as I ended up on a dirt road near Mandalong after leaving Cyclone and Noel. Locals looked a bit strange and im sure they lit the barbie when they saw me. Fresh meat !
Had a good day guys and thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Will try to get on the Oberon ride, complete with my trusty multimeter !
One good thing we all got home be for the sky opened up... Phatom would of made it all teh way..LOL
what happened to the Phantom???
I suppose the call of those airlock containers was all the more tempting .....
Yep everyone - fantastic day.
Although I guess Noel would have liked a better outcome than having to get his ride transported back home in the next few days
We all arrive from various points to the Road Warriors Cafe @ Mount White. On arrival heard about a new fella on the block (SiBennett) who had to contend with a large Hunstman spider running around his tank and handle bars (spider not caught). Anyway we had a coffee and headed of toward Woolombi.
I took up rear check point following 21 riders - half way there I came around a left hand sweeper to see a couple of bikes pulled over to the side of the road - my eye was taken by someone thrashing his handle bars with a large old dead bush gum branch???? WTF??? Then I remembered the spider. Yep - it was SiBennett pupling the Huntsman to an unfortuante death.
Onwards to the Woolombi Hotel - it was bloody hot by then so some thirst quenchers before we moved onwards up to Cessnock then across to breakdown alley near Brunkerville. THis is where Noels ride gave up the ghost (electrics). Similtaneoulsy, Darkmans ride decided to give up the ghost near Brunkerville south east of Cessnock. However, Darkman got his ride up andf running again by removing his recently installed fuel pack. He limped back home and arrived safely. The heat at the time of the breakdowns was around 36-37 degrees (bloody hot).
Once everything was sorted we all regrouped at Freemans Waterhole under the shade of some trees. Here Rocker was voted Mr January.
Onward to Toronto Hotel where we had lunch and stayed for a break in the airconditioning.
Moved on travelling around Lake MacQuarie to Belmont then back out to the F3 and homewards.
Nice to catch up with old faces and also the new fellas on the block.
Thanks for organising Rman & Cyclone.
Pics Posted Soon.
PS: My vote for rider of the day goes to Sandi. Kept with all the guys no trouble. Onya Sandi
Breaks my heart to see what a great day I missed out on but glad to see what a good time you all had. Looking forward to the photos, and to the next one. What about Putty? I've never been there but like like Dave said there are still lots of roads out there to discover. Obviously a well organised and supported ride.
Our very own Forum Superhero.
was a great day, as always a bloody great laugh.
thanks Rocker for setting it up...
Onya Burra, Sandi said she had a ball.
From Beecroft Steamer and the bike will be back at the dealers once they re-open as its still under warranty. Since they got their hands on it last time its developed a couple of other faults, but hopefully its third time lucky with these guys or its the last they will see from me.
