Hi guys, only joined the forum today and already asking for advice.

Seems I having a missing bolt on the transmission side near the swingarm pivot (if thats what ya call it).  Cant remember if it was there or not when I picked the bike up the other day back in Cairns.

Anyone know what the missing bolt description / name / purpose would be, so I can let the parts guys know/   Not sure whether I should ride it.

Cheers, now to see if I can post the pics

    Hi Mate,

when i changed the pipes on my dyna, I had a spot like thatfor where the bracket for the original pipes sat. I just plugged it with one of the spare bolts I had lying around, which is the wrong size by the way (too long).

Might be from the bracket I'm guessing.

Thanks guys, should have mentioned the model and year.    It's a 2009 Softail standard. Has S & S pipes if that helps.    To me it doesn't look like anything structural but when you have been out of the bike seen for ten years and waiting for a service manual and come across a hole that a bolt should be in you start getting a bit nervous.

Might be a good spot to put the horn after relocating the coil to the horn postion and removing seat post
    for a cleaner look?
