I only use my kicker as a backup... guess I am getting too old for the old kicker..

Back in the day I recall a bloke with a early '80's lowrider ('82?) - kick/electric model. He had a dodgy solenoid from memory but he could prime it with the kicker and leave ir right at TDC, hit the start button and kick it gently through compression. The starter would then kick in and fire the old girl up.

Back when the electric leg on the FL worked I managed to replicate this trick and it was good for when the battery was a bit flat or the solenoid was a bit dicky. Might be worth a try.

For the new members out here ... why do some threads loose the photos ... does the original poster remove them for some reason or does the site organisers take them down or is there some sort of time limit on pics being posted .

the pics were mine and hosted by photobucket at the time and are no longer on photo bucket so the link is broken etc.
I sold the bike to a young guy in my town who loves wide open throttle so may end up back on here one day as another build.
    cheers

no chance Dave, the guy that brought it is a mechanic and he has taken it to another level with some smart tuning and reakons he has got more HP out of it.
I reakon you should have brought it back then before the superglide but perhaps the trumpy wouldnt be around. sold for $17500.00 so was a good buy with all the spares that went with it.

was an 07 Hilly and I sold that to a forum member from here so I had the money to do tha Evo up after the motor shit itself ended up I had to part with 2 good bikes but scored an 05 carby lowrider from the US with a genuine 299 miles on it so got me smile back after I finished sooking
