Wicked
Hi Dazza,
There's always little glitches along the way, and when solved make the project closer to one's heart.
You say to yourself "That's MY bike", and it's a very satisfying feeling as it is a piece of yourself.
Can't buy that at the Stealers for love or money. And yours is boody awesome.
Have a look at these kickers. Late Shovel style and great for clearance purposes as they are close to
the bike and swing out when used.

If the tranny never leaked and everything worked fine you`d only get bored and would be itching for something to do, you`ve done a fine job and inspired others to do a job properly, your work area is a reflection on the quality of your work.
Excellent stuff Dazza,it's great to see a build from start to finish. I noticed with your outer primary off, that 2 of the bolts securing the inner-primary to motor don't have tiewire on the bolts like as on my '84 evo,and you have made/bought a plate to do the same job? Also, after a major re-build and then the tank is filled with oil,is there a way to "bleed" the system before starting? ie: after I put my (early '84 wet clutch) inner and outer primary on after installing Primo clutch kit and flash new oil lines, I filled the oil tank ,put oil in primary as per manual ,fired her up and oil come pissin out breather. Bike shop guy said "you don't do it that way" and never elaborated on correct way, how'd you do it Dazz? Which I'm assuming is the same practical way as my softail evo?
Cool, I'll get a couple. My tiewiring's a bit suss. Thanks for the tips Just checked out V-Twin site and the "Inner Pr Cover Locktab" '85 and up. Must only be a minimal size diff. Doesn't matter, I should be able to knock one up,looks simple enough
Now that's a great looking bike Dazza!!!!!!
Well done NUMB NUTZ... I've enjoyed watching the rebuild... ( I'll drop my offer to $16.5K now coz ya fucked up the paint.. )
Well done dribbly dick ... It's one nice DYNA...
Yep, it would have been bloody expensive from your side of Oz.
I was lucky I could do most of the repair and assembly work myself. The cases were beyond me as
I didn't have the presses and I thought he would be better doing the honing as torque plates were needed.
Branko would have to be one of the top 3 Harley mechanics in Australia, and was highly reccomended by a few mates
who have been around for a while. We had met previously in the 80's , I remembered him. Different life at the time.
Hopefully I'll be as happy as you are in a few weeks, haven't been able to ride for a few months. Leaving in about 1 hour to
Hospital, getting a new hip tomorrow.
Cris.
Awesome write up and great pics Dazza, everything from start to finish, great afternoon read mate.
