Need a new back tyre on the super glide (Metzler).  The dealer has quoted me $220,00 for the tyre and $150 to fit it.. Seems a bit expensive.   

Can anyone recommend any independents in Sydney that might be worth getting a price from?

tyre price doesn't seem too bad, fitment price is expensive but thats to be expected from a dealer

you can't remove and refit the wheel from yr bike yourself?

my local tyre company will fit the tyre to the rim for nothing and I do the rest

$150 to fit a tyre is ridiculous...are they chroming the wheel as well or something???  My local dealer will charge about $60 to refit a tyre. Better still, if I go to the major Jap dealer in Canberra and buy the tyre from them, they'll fit it for free. I don't have any loyalty to the HD dealer if I'm saving that much money!!

I went the Metzler Roadtec Z6 170/60/17 $299 that is with removing and replacing wheel myself.. I think many include the fitting charge with the tyre ? I don't know what it would cost .. just buying tyre outright.. ?
