Anyone else go to the Hog Rally at Buller  - Bloody cold as a Nun's tit. Bit disappointing with the numbers and the organisation. Tassie spoilt us all - maybe I wuz expecting too much.

Of course the numbers where down,  how stupid is Hog Aus for putting on a rally two weeks before xmas and in the cold Vic Alps

I'm with you on that.
This was our first rally and to say we were dissapointed would be an understatement.
Travelled down on Thursday and we left on Saturday morning and not just because it was cold- poor turn out, no stalls, no gear, minimal entertainment and beer out the bottle only.
Met some top blokes, road some great roads and spent a fortune on piss - but could have done it all without the expense of travelling to Buller for an underwhelming event.
Long trip back to Brissy I can tell ya.

 Yep, I posted earlier about how shite this event was.. Most of the blokes we met said that Tassie was a great event and this was a non event. 

Agreed the timing & venue was stupid and the weather didnt help. All of that aside though, VERY poorly thought out, with nothing to do during the day except watch wild hogs or kids movies!!.

 

 

Jeez sorry to hear that, I thought it was going to be a big/good thing. Did'nt go as too close to my annual roadtrip.

Jeez, yeah alot of Trivett boys were going, sounds like it was lousy.

HOG Rally was shit!

All the HOGGIE Chapters kept to themselves, too clickie for me.

A bit sad to be reading about the Underwhelming reviews HOG gets in these pages. I was going to tag along with the Darwin Chapter to see what its all about. Dont know if Ill bother now.

Got this from my chapter this morning....

Monday around 3pm. Long story short... Kevin left the road on the Great Alpine Road between Omeo and Bruthen.
He rode down into the bush where it looks like he came into contact with a tree.
Kevin was stabilised and helicoptered from the scene to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
Hats off to Nic Short for jumping in with his First Aid skills when it was most needed.

Kevin is in a bad way with injuries to his vertebrae (both lower & upper), fractured pelvis & arm. He also has head injuries and has bleeding on his brain.
The doctors put him in a coma on Monday evening.
On Thursday, they took him off the ventilator and fitted a brace to both his upper and lower back. They have decided not to operate on his back.
The same day, they bought him out of the coma and he has been talking with his son Matt and can understand what he is saying and talking back. Friday may be better.

Shit, I have to give up beer now.....Good One Soapbox!

DAVE .The trip will be great to WA and the club has  booked allready so get in touch with Dave at the shop if you want to tag along and can keep up, about 4 day run.When HOG took over and left Chris Sweeney out it fell in a hole bring him back and it will be good.
