Just so you get at least ONE sensible answer out of this entertaining bunch, I'll have a look at the label on mine and let you know. My wife won't allow them inside (!) but the smell is exhaust fumes.

As a female, who does mountains of washing every week, I would stick them in the washing machine with plenty of washing powder and some fabric softener (I only use fabric softener because it makes my washing smell nice) and put them on a delicate cycle ... it works wonders for my boys' school blazers, which are marked, 'dry clean only'!

Remove all padding etc, put in a warm machine wash, short gentle cycle. Do not spin. Remove, put over an outside chair, hose any suds out, repeat if necessary and let air dry. I could add about sniffing the crotch to see if it smells better, but I won't.

Here are the instructions that came with mine - sorry this took so long:

    1. If wet, air dry on hanger

    2. do not store unless dry

    3.dry away from direct heat

    4. do not dry clean or iron

    5. hand wash in luke-warm water and detergent

    6. do not wash in bleach or solvent

    7. do not machine wash or spin dry

    8. mobile phone should be stored in inside pocket (huh? why do they bother telling us this?)

    9. important to adjust velcro fasteners properly so the velcro does not abrade the shell of the jacket

Ya know you can turn em inside out for an extra couple of days wear. And always leave them on the top layer of ya bag with a big skid mark facing up, for when ya go thru customs. Usually scares em off.....

I wash our Dririder wet weather jackets every year after winter -- don't see why the pants would be any different. Remove any armour, then into the washing machine. Hang in the shade to dry    THEN    buy a can of Scotchguard and spray them real good !! [drown the things]  This waterproof's them again. Make sure they are dry before storing away

..................and Robo, are you practising to be Superman?  If'n your Y fronts need waterproofing from the rain they gotta be on the outside!!

Or else you ride around with your "playground" open
