G'day all,

A few of us who live out hear in the desert are toying with the idea of riding to Ponde come next year 26/02/2011. Depending on the numbers we look like riding with a support truck  but if numbers are not there we will all pile into the truck and pissing off which might be the better idea seems that Rand dude is still running the show in SA.

Any one done it before and whats your opinions, just throwing it out there for any info

we might be heading over taking a few drag toys with us possible drivin a bus with a dirty big trailer behind.
Its a pretty good show boys over there are very hospitable will keep ya informed as it gets closer.

If it goes ahead it looks like we will be having a couple of weeks, try to get there ASAP then have a bit of a look or tour around the back blocks would be great to go go on one of the big club poker runs while over there as well,then a more leisurely trip back. We could get there in 3 days from Merredin by doing on average of 850 ks per day but the decision would have to made closer to the date so we can see what the 4 day forecast of the day temps are like. Got a few jobs to do to the old girl first like check the tensioner shoes, wheel bearing grease and adjust and the same too the rear fork but we will see.

Got some bad news about the up and coming trip to Ponde and thats is I wont be able to make it this year. So too all you blokes and sheila's that are going I hope you have a fuckin gr8 time and a safe trip over there and back,  don't forget to update us all when ya gets back.

There are 2 reasons that I wont be able to go and they are,

• Work has wants me to temp transfer to Kalgoorlie for a 6 week period, moneys to good.
• The bike has got a fucked front wheel bearing so while I am away I am going to get the wheel rebuilt with S/S spokes and a chromed Excel rim, been wanting to do this since 2001, and replace both the front and rear wheel bearings.

So once again sorry bout that and I am envious of the ones that are going.
