The following dyno chart is from 2010 Harley 96" Touring model with Jackpot Dyno tuned mufflers, Jackpot 2/1/2 head pipe, Stage 1 air cleaner, Power Commander V, and Wood TW-555 cams

Just found this dyno chart of a woods TW-555 BOLT IN cam on a stock 96" with stock heads and stock compression.....

nuthin but bolt in power. Not bad eh???? Its up there with some 103" builds.

I dont think you would get that out of a softail B Motor...a dyna A motor for sure with a combination of pipes and aircleaner

Does not mean anyone just has to bolt in those cams to get that result. sometimes those boy's play games use special fuel have it in higher gear spend a lot of time on dyno mapping Bobby always seems to like high comp too, like maybe deck barrels get pistons up in the bore & so on. i'm just trying to explain as just a cam on its own does not work magic.

    Berms,

No need for it all to come from the same manufacturer. Often an engine builder will find a set of components that work particularly well together and keep using that same package.

This is one of Jamie's comments from that thread "As far as running the tests with the stock head pipe, I would expect to see a difference of at least 5-7 Hp/6-8Tq between the stock 2010 head pipe and the Jackpot 2/1/2 with a good set of mufflers."

Take those off the HP numbers if you aren't changing out the headpipe and you are back where you would expect straight away.

    cheers
    Surly
