Gday all
I have a stock 2001 softail 88cube and i am wanting to put a cam in it to get a bit more power. What cam would you guys reccommend?
The Andrews 26 was made for the 88"
Will be looking at a new set of pipes aswell, with the SE204 is it just a drop in cam and tune or do you need to change other things?
Why not lash out & put 2 in while ya @ it ... I'm running the Andrews 26's & they work well 4 me..
I like Andrews 26g cams. They go well with motors up to 96 cube. After that, you'll need bigger cams, but I'm certain you would keep the same gears. Also require hydraulic lifters and adjustable pushrods. They are a great cam for improved torque ,excellent for touring and carrying extra weight. It just feels a bit lumpy. Always best to mate it with an ignition module and coil eg Dynatech. Also look at upgrading your carby to a Mikuni 42HSR. You'll be surprised what a difference it can make. BTW ... can't comment on the other cams, but I'm sure they also work well.
