The next level of tuning updates have been release and are on the online update service. We want everyone to update to this level and begin using it as this is the beginning of a new series of updates that will be coming out. In this updates the new software will now ask when using Vtune if you want the software to extend the data all the way to 100%. If you chose Yes it will only extend the data provided you captured enough valid data for it during your DataMaster run. So if you do not capture the areas in DataMaster it will not get extended in Vtune. All of this is explained in the Online help files as well as the tuning guide.

The issue with trying to do it all in code we need to make sure and only do things when there is enough good data to extend with. You as a human can look at the trends around the missing areas and can fill them in if you like. For us to do the same it would take much more computing power and to tell the truth would take us a lot more code writing and testing just on that one part then all the rest of the product. Kind of hard to do that without raising the cost of the whole product.

We will continue with updates and hope to get feed back from those of you out in the field using the product. Let us know what you see and any ideas of what might help and we can see if we can do it.

Well Mastertune just got another release and is now ready for all of you, ver 161. It was brought to our attention, that when doing a "save and restore" that we were only allowing 12 com ports. In the programming mode we were allowing 16 com ports. So the new version now allows for 16 in all cases as well as having an added displacement calculator in the Tools drop down menu. This should make the program a little more robust for all of you.

Steve, the pretty colours are a great idea, makes it a lot quicker to check figures are the same.
Haven't had a chance to try the auto blending but it sounds like it will save some time.

I also note that in chapter 4.13.1 Calibrating the Main Spark Table on page 65 it still says .........

"Before starting, set the Adaptive Knock Retard table (Figure3-29) to zero.............."

as we know, this is counter productive to monitoring for signs of knock retard.

    Regards, Burto.

On the subject of update, I was looking for the ETA044-01 map for the 2011 110ci Touring, as announced in Cals listing, but couldn't find it anywhere...
    Who has stolen it ?

I did! When going through finial testing I was not happy with the results so I pulled it at the last minute. Guess I screwed up and did not get it pulled from all the spots. Use the ETA009 and you will be set. As soon as we get the 0444 calibration happy it will be released. Sorry for the problem.
