Hi all - I bought a VRSCF Muscle just over a month ago. I haven't ridden it for  just on a week now as it's been in at teh dealers getting an issue with the ABS resolved.

Started out 2 weeks ago - ABS light flashed as usual when I start the bike, then goes out when I get moving. After 30 seconds to a minute the ABS light comes on and stays on!

I don'y know if the ABS is working - haven't tried locking the brakes to check. The dealer informs me that so far they have tried replacing the sensors, the ABS module and checked the wiring harness - to no avail. Latest development -  apparently they are waiting firther tech info from H-D USA.

Has anyone else had a problem with the ABS system?

Had my RKC 2weeks , 900 KS no problems , goes out after 30sec ,havent locked em up

Have you piggybacked your ecm...or is it still OEM

Still OEM - I haven't modified anything - not even the mufflers - yet

You'll know if the ABS is working even when you apply the brakes from a reasonable speed and let it come to a stop.  You should feel some surging or as though you have  a warped disc. 

I fitted an LED brake light globe to my VRSCAW and when I put it in for service they removed it and put a standard light back in saying it affected the ABS.  The reason I fitted the LED globe was because the standard light kept on blowing.  What affect would no light have on the ABS?

I have no idea what efefct a barke light globe LED or incandescent would have on ABS. My VRSCF has an LED tailight and indicators. I am doing more research into the problems with my ABS - the brakes work just fine but the ABS fault light keeps coming on....I haven't tried to see if it locks up, I will go for a ride later and try. The service manager did tell me that one of the mechanics did get the back wheel to lock in the carpark at the dealership.....I will see what develops next week when I take it back.
